OVERVIEW
With a background in baby nutrition and nearly a century of clinical nutrition knowledge, Nutricia Advanced Medical Nutrition was first established in Zoetermeer, the Netherlands. In 1905, Nutricia, a company that produces milk to meet all the nutritional requirements of infants, made history by creating iodinated milk products and sugar-reduced milk for those with goiter. Building on the development of these products, which laid the foundation for the field of medical nutrition, Nutricia offered patients customized nutritional formulas to address various conditions.
Nutricia, which specialized in products for metabolic diseases and cow's milk allergy, merged the three business sectors under the name Numico. After being acquired by Danone in 2007, Numico has continued to operate as two separate businesses: Nutricia Advanced Medical Nutrition and Nutricia Early Life Nutrition.
